English through storytelling

Find the words. Join the conversation.

It is easier to practise English when you have something you want to say. We use stories, everyday situations and conversation to help international students practise vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing, at a pace suited to their English level.

Stories give students a reason to use English.

An everyday experience, a photograph or an imagined situation gives us something to talk about. We use that starting point to introduce vocabulary, practise sentences and help students express a sequence of ideas.

The sessions focus on learning English through storytelling. We discuss the students’ age group, English level and learning goals so activities are appropriate to the people taking part.

Practise speaking, listening, reading and writing.

We guide conversation, explain unfamiliar words and help students try a clearer way to say what they mean. A short story or shared example can lead into listening questions, discussion, reading or writing a brief passage.

Students get time to practise, ask questions and return to language they find difficult. We adapt the pace and activities to the agreed group and focus.

Arrange support around your learners.

Individual students, teachers and education providers can enquire. Tell us how many students are involved, their experience of English and where the sessions would take place.

We discuss the session format, learning focus, materials, availability and fees before making arrangements. The aim is practical language use that students can build on in their studies and everyday conversations.

Let’s discuss what your students want to say.

Tell us their English level, group size and learning needs. We’ll explore how storytelling sessions could support their language practice.
