Ghostwriting

Tell it in your own words. Let us do the writing.

You don’t have to become a writer to have a book. Through conversations, questions and the material you share, we get to know what you want to say. We write, you review, and together we work towards a manuscript you recognise as your own.

You bring the experience. We ask the questions.

We begin with a conversation about the book you want, who it is for and how much material already exists. Interviews can take place over the phone or in person by arrangement. Notes, recordings you already have and photographs can give us useful starting points.

With your agreement, we can also speak with family members or other contributors. We discuss who needs to be involved and what they can contribute before arranging those conversations.

From your conversations to a manuscript.

We draw together the material, suggest a chapter structure and identify the details that need another conversation. Then we write the agreed sections, paying attention to the language you use, the experiences you want included and how you want the story told.

You don’t need to deliver a polished account in an interview. Our job is to listen, follow a promising memory and return to questions that need more time.

It becomes your book through review.

You read the draft, correct details and tell us when a passage doesn’t sound right. We work through your feedback within the agreed review process, with you deciding what you are comfortable including.

We agree on the manuscript scope, responsibilities, costs and how the writing will be credited before starting. Once the writing is approved, we can discuss editing, design, formatting and publication as the next stages.

Start by telling us what matters.

You can begin with a conversation about the life, experience or idea you want to share. Tell us what you have and what you would like us to write with you.
