Before anyone reads the first sentence, they see the cover. We work with you on the image, title and design so that first impression belongs to your story—and gives the right reader a reason to look inside.
We design around the book you are making.
A family memoir, a novel and a children’s story need different first impressions. We ask about your readers, the feeling of the book and how it will be printed or published. Bring images you love, covers you respond to or simply the manuscript and your ideas.
Together, we discuss photographs or other imagery, type, colour and the information that needs to appear. We agree on the design work, any material to be supplied and the costs before beginning.
See how the cover comes together.
We develop the agreed design and bring together the front cover, title and author name. For a printed book, we also arrange the spine and back cover, including the description and space required for publishing details.
You review the design and tell us what feels right or needs attention. We work through the agreed revisions so the cover reflects your book and its intended readers.
Prepare it for the way your book will be made.
The finished cover must fit the chosen book size, binding, page count and printer’s specifications. Once those details are settled, we prepare the agreed cover files for that format.
If you are still writing, we can discuss the visual direction now and explain which production details must wait. Cover design, interior formatting and publishing support can be coordinated with you as part of the wider project.

Tell us about the book behind the cover.
Let us know its subject, intended readers and publishing plans. If you have an image or a design in mind, mention it; if you don’t, we can begin with the story.
